She has the attention span of a flea. Photography is her job, career, hobby, passion, it's her life. At times there are struggles, it's not the perpetual rush assumed by many. Michelle's camera is not hung up at the end of the day. Sometimes there's a fine line determining where night ends and day begins. It is not uncommon for ideas to strike and be pursued at 3am. Photographic inspiration exists 'round the clock. She finds them, they find her.
When not on assignment, she's shooting personal work.
Michelle's images are about love, expression, curiosity, adventure, emotion, travel, fun and appreciation for what surrounds us all. She shoots without filters.
Photography has brought Michelle the highest highs and the lowest lows. Since 2nd semester, senior year of college, she knew what she wanted to do with the rest of her life. It's instinctual. She never wanted to do anything else. Back in 2003, tired of working for slave wages as an editorial photographer, she needed another means to survive off her work, as simply surviving was not enough. All proceeds at the time were going to fund her personal work and travel addiction. Funds run dry quickly in this arena.
Since t shirts consume her wardrobe and photographs are part of her daily existence, she wondered how they'd look together. She gave it a try, they were an instant hit and slowly Mo T's evolved. Michelle was finally wearing her heart on her (sleeve) physically as well as metaphorically. She now has a t shirt line and a new canvas for her art.
"I don't want to be 90 and on my deathbed regretting not doing something," remains Michelle's philosophy.
The world needs another t shirt company like the beach needs another grain of sand, yet tees will always be in style and photos are fun!
Our hope at Mo T's is for you to be stylishly comfortable everyday.
